2024
Klara Rosé

2024 Klara Rosé is made up of three grape varieties grown on a typically Mediterranean terroir, from the Gard to Camargue to Provence. The wine is a very pale rose colour with salmon-pink highlights and an almost crystal-clear brightness. The nose is powerful and fruity, characterised by aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant and grapefruit, as well as spicier, animal nuances. The palate is well-structured, smooth and vinous with a lovely minty freshness. Tangy red fruit notes return to the fore, followed by distinctive spicy notes of pepper and coffee. Provençal Grenache wines are reminiscent of raspberry and blackcurrant blossom boiled sweets, enhanced by spicy notes imparted by Syrah. The Merlots grown in the sands of the Gulf of Lion add balance, finesse and structure to the palate.

Climate
The 2024 vintage was characterised by a mild winter with low rainfall, a wet spring, and a late start to the summer. By mid-July, in Corbières, Languedoc Roussillon and up to Provence, véraison (colour change) had only just begun. Winegrowers took the necessary measures to monitor the vines as closely as possible and cope with the threat of vine diseases. While the Corbières and Pyrénées Orientales vineyards suffered a year of great drought, others benefited from high rainfall, particularly around Montpellier and the Gard up to Provence. The vines of this terroir enjoyed warm, dry weather in the last few weeks before the harvest, with mild nights thanks to the tramontane wind, which was propitious to the ripening of the grapes. The 2024 vintage is the reflection of winegrowers’ unremitting work and their ability to overcome the vagaries of the weather.
