2023

Klara White

Fruity, flowery & mineral. Hints of honey, linden, quince, apricot and pear. Salinity from the sea.

Clear and brilliant yellow colour. The nose displays fresh and mineral notes with menthol nuances. Starts out fruity on the palate with aromas characteristic of southern grape varieties: honey, lime blossom, quince, apricot and pear. A few citrus notes come to the fore mid-palate, providing freshness. The well-structured palate is elegant, round, concentrated and tinged with salinity. Good minerality, volume and length balance out on the finish.

Climate

The 2023 vintage was marked by contrasts in southern France. After drought conditions during winter and early spring, May and June saw alternating spells of rain and sunshine. The summer was dry to the west of Languedoc but hot and stormy towards the east, particularly in the Gard and Provence regions. Despite the threat of mildew in spring and several heatwaves in summer, the vintage lived up to its promises, producing aromatic wines with wonderful acidity.
